Touches That Matter
Saltillo Diamonds Throw
Designed by Naiomi Glasses, a Diné asdzáán (Navajo woman) who lives on the Navajo Nation. She is a seventh-generation Navajo textile artist who learned the craft of weaving from her late paternal grandmother, Nellie, and her brother Tyler. She focuses on designs that incorporate stripes and old-style elements such as Saltillo diamonds, four directional crosses, and wedge weave, which is an older weaving style that creates zigzags.
This Heritage Blanket is designed by Lehi ThunderVoice Eagle. 100% of the profits from this collection will be donated to Sovereign Bodies Institute, an organization that generates new knowledge and understandings of how Indigenous nations and communities are impacted by gender and sexual violence, and how they may continue to work towards healing and freedom from such violence.
For every blanket you purchase from Sackcloth & Ashes, they give a blanket to your local homeless shelter.
